Partner, Raybin Associates, Inc.

Kimberly Hawkins joined Raybin Associates in 1987 after spending 15 years as chief development officer at such institutions as St. Joseph Medical Center, Greenwich Country Day School (both in Connecticut), the Japan Society in New York, and Anatolia College (an American School in Greece). She also served as Director of Alumni Relations at Manhattanville College. Though her professional focus has been on major gifts and capital campaigns, she brings to the firm’s clients a wide-ranging background in fundraising, planning, and communications, having done almost every job in the development office from mail list maintenance, to hospital foundation president, to soliciting six- and seven-figure gifts.

Long committed to service to the profession, Kim served on the national Foundation Board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). She was a founding Board member and President of the Fairfield County (CT) chapter of AFP and has twice co-chaired the Giving Institute's Summer Symposium for consulting professionals. She currently serves on the Editorial Review Board of Giving USA. Kim has been a frequent speaker at AFP and other professional conferences on topics such as campaign preparation, major gifts, board development, and strategic planning.

She is an alumna of Manhattanville College and has done graduate work in communications. A prolific writer and editor, Kim authored a chapter in the Wiley & Sons textbook The Non-Profit Handbook: Fund Raising, second edition.

Kim is a Master Gardener. Her screen-saver attests to the beauty she has created in her Rocky River, Ohio garden, despite a losing battle with weeds and her on-going war with a family of woodchucks.
