Raybin — A Marts & Lundy Company

We're excited to be joining the Marts & Lundy Team!

Churchill School and Center

When The Churchill School and Center, a New York City pre-K-Grade 12 school for learning disabled children, decided to launch its first ever endowment fund their timeline was less than a year.

Raybin conducted an over-the-summer feasibility study, followed by intense planning, and then determined a stretch, but attainable, $8 million goal. Many things happened between February and June:

  • The case statement was written and designed
  • Trustees and other major prospects were solicited
  • Cultivation events were structured and quickly and graciously implemented
  • Parents, grandparents and alumni were all asked for gifts.

In double-quick time, a cadre of dedicated, trained parent solicitors, armed with a clear, concise, and graphically-stunning case, rose to the occasion. The reward for reaching $8 million by June 30th? Another $2 million from an anonymous donor. Goal achieved!

Churchill’s Director of Development, L.J. Mitchell, remarked:

“Elizabeth and Kim inspired me and our entire campaign team to believe that we could achieve our goal in such a short time. They possessed the institutional history critical to focusing our work and leveraging our resources, and they did just that! This campaign is one for the history books, and Elizabeth’s and Kim’s imprint appears on every single page. Thank you – thank you – thank you.”
